There's a hip-hop band out of San Marcos (not Brockhampton) called PNTHN that really isn't our style. You can click on the link if you want to hear one of their songs.
Another option is Austinite Kady Rain Williams. She got a nice writeup in the Austin Chronicle and was on the 2018 NPR 100 for SXSW.
Straight up pop. "Lonely One" has a throwback 80s pop sound. It's pretty good.
