Saturday at 2pm in the Tito's tent. I usually skip over the DJ/Producers since it's not our thing but this was an interesting story. First, it's a female in a male-dominated genre: Oregon-born Leah Chisholm. Second, she actually has a background in music: she studied jazz piano at UC Berkeley. Third, she now lives in Austin.
Here are a couple articles about her. The first one says: "An ardent feminist and an advocate for gender equality, LP Giobbi is also the founder of FEMME HOUSE, an educational platform and 501(c)(3), created to address the lack of representation and equity in electronic music by empowering women and non-binary people in the technical areas of music. " The second one is an interview with her about her music and business endeavors.
Pretty cool individual.
