SXSW2024: Native Sun

More from Cheer Up Charlie's Saturday. This bio says:

No conversation about New York City rock’n’roll is complete without Native Sun. Fronted by Colombian-American songwriter Danny Gomez, the band makes cathartic and timeless songs that are undeniable. Along with drummer Nico Espinosa and bassist Justin Barry, their livewire local gigs are simultaneously welcoming and rowdy and it’s made them a can’t-miss fixture of city nightlife.

 This article says:

You can hear influences from Rolling Stones to The Stooges to The Beatles’ Revolver across its six tracks of fuzzed-out guitar, swirling psych-rock melodies, heavy riffs, and snarly vocals.

 "Sister" has a T-Rex feel.

"There's Revolution" is a head-banger. Ear plugs necessary.

This kind of reminds me of Jake Bugg.
